| Yup, you read the title correctly. My favorite brand name is coming out with their very own debut perfume on March 5– COACH the Fragrance. The scent includes green mandarin, honey, and sandalwood. They have partnered with Estee Lauder, and there are rumors that they may have more beauty and makeup products in the works for the future. Will it break the bank? A 1.7 oz bottle will sell for $68, a 0.27 oz purse spray for $42, and a solid perfume for $40. The price is comparable to other brands out there, for example Ralph Lauren or Escada (my other favorites). You can only get it online at Coach.com, exclusively at a Coach store, or by calling 800-233-8647. |

My understanding is that there was a sample available in several magazines, in addition to COACH’s latest catalog. I haven’t come across it myself, so I will likely be stopping by my local store next Monday to check it out in person. I usually prefer fruity and flowery scents, so I am curious what I will think. I actually collect perfume bottles– and these are quite cute in my opinion, so I may have to get one anyway. How can a COACH lover like me resist? – $68
Edit: So guess who went on opening day and bought both the bottle and purse spray? When I got home and checked the mail, I had a cute little COACH box tucked inside. What did it contain? An adorable purse sized keychain sample of the fragrance. I love this company!

Normally Coach can do no wrong in my eyes. There are usually several bags and accessories that I cannot wait to get my hands on the second they come out. They just had a new release a few days ago which included the new Scribble Tote. A few years ago when they first came out with the Scribble line, I bought one of the hobos and returned it a week later since it just sat unused in my closet. I decided that it just wasn’t my style. Plus they are white, and are known to get super dirty as well as are very hard to clean. I bought Scribble Stitch Wristlet when those came out, and it’s a chore to clean after each use too (though Shout Wipes are a godsend)– so can you imagine keeping up with cleaning an entire bag? |
One of the main reasons I love Coach so much is the quality. I have had some bags for years that look almost as good as the day I bought them. Some people scoff at paying a couple hundred dollars on a nice bag, but it’s worth it if you carry it daily and it lasts for years. Sadly, I can’t recommend the Scribble or the Hamptons line for those reasons. They just end up looking trashed in a few months. – $218
| Black & White is my favorite color combo, so I am absolutely in love with the Magic teddy bear! This bear is different though. The proceeds do not just go into a company’s pockets for profit, but instead 20% of sales revenue is dedicated to provide food and medicines for the cause of hungry children in parts of the world where the contribution would matter most. Each bear on 100TeddyBear is made by hand and is one of a kind. I found this site while browsing other blogs tonight, and thought it was well worth writing about. I noticed they also have a program where when you buy two special teddy bears, they will ship a FREE teddy bear to an orphaned child of your choice. They have a list of children on the site. Prices start at $15, and go up from there. There is also a Valentine’s Special if you are looking for a last minute or belated gift. I think this would make a wonderful keepsake, as well as remind us of an important cause. — $58 |

For Weightloss Wednesday I wanted to feature a cute workout t-shirt I happened to find today. Do you have “Dangerous Curves” like me? Why not have fun with your workout wardrobe with this fun t-shirt? Your workout doesn’t have to be boring, and this would definitely be a conversation starter at the gym or park. I am also a fan of black workout clothes because they hide the sweat stains you get from a really good run or jog. – $11.95 |

I love shoes. I love COACH. I love espadrilles. These COACH Kimmy Espardrilles are a must have for Spring. I bought a pair last year that match my black bag, and I get so many complements on them. Mine tie up my ankles, while these buckle. I would much prefer these, because I have some thick legs and I think these would look a lot more flattering. You can be both casual and dressy with these, and the peep toe is a lot of fun too. One of my favorite things about ordering from COACH is the speed in which your order gets to you. Even better: if you order them from your local store, shipping is free. – $158 |
| Today is National Wear Red Day, a day created to raise awareness of heart disease and stroke in women. Heart disease is the #1 killer of U.S. women. Check out Go Red For Women to read more about the cause and find out what you can do to take better care of your heart. You can join and by doing so, the American Heart Association will send you a free “red dress pin” that you can wear proudly to show you are part of the Go Red For Women movement. |

Jewelry and accesssory maker Brighton is also supporting the cause. Brighton will donate $5 for every Go Red For Women Charm Bracelet sold between January 13, 2007 and February 14, 2007 and is asking retailers to match the donation (while supplies last). Their website also explains what each charm symbolizes. The proceeds benefit education, research and treatment. What a fashionable way to make a lifesaving difference. –$50 |
