While $1 for high end makeup sounds like a great deal, it appears that E.L.F. has no deal with Nordstrom, and they actually have a fraud alert on their website. I did some online research, and discovered they pulled a similar scam last year using Bloomingdale’s. Customers are getting the products they order, but they are certainly not high end. You can buy the stuff at your local Target or other discount stores. Be careful if you decide to order from them.

I have always wanted a butterfly tattoo, cliche as it is. We went to see a movie called Eastern Promises this weekend and Viggo’s character has two Star Tattoos over his heart. Apparently the Russian mob has tattoos all over their body that “tell a story.” I like the idea that each one means something. The butterfly wouldn’t symbolize much for me, I just like them. I think this site has a great idea. You find a design you like, purchase it, and then print it out and take it to your local artist. It couldn’t be easier. – Various Prices |

I am kind of obsessed with teeth. Before our wedding, both Dave and I got Zoom whitening done. After three years, I can tell the brightness has worn off. It might be time to try something new. I’ve heard of getting Botox injections for cosmetic reasons, but today I was reading about Dr. Alexander Mauskop and his techique for using Botox for migraines. I’ve worn contacts for over 10 years now. I have really blue eyes, so people always talked me out of getting Color Contact Lenses to change them. The last time I went in to see my eye doctor and get an exam, I decided to try some really pretty violet colored lenses. I decided they just weren’t me. | I love going to the spa, and Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa is my current favorite. I’ve gotten lots of pedicures there, and they really pamper you. I’ve found that it is a better experience if you go during the week verses the weekend because they are a little more rushed when they are busy. The last few times I have been in I have also gotten a facial and I absolutely LOVE it. You get your own robe and slippers to wear, and it is totally relaxing. They also give you a complementary makeup session following the facial. I haven’t taken advantage of that yet, but it’s time for me to schedule one.
They sent me an e-mail about their current hair event also. It is running August 14 through September 10. If you make an appointment for a cut and style, they will give you a free scalp treatment worth $25. That sounds nice and relaxing!
