| Have you been itching to get your hands on a Wii? I know they were very difficult to find around the holidays since they were the most popular of the current gaming systems and were sold out everywhere. My brother has had one for quite awhile though, and I must say that I have some fond memories of playing Nintendo as a kid. Now you don’t have to spend an arm and a leg on your own system– you can simply Click Here for a Chance to Win a Nintendo® Wii™! |
 |
Charter is giving visitors the opportunity to register for the chance to receive a Nintendo Wii Console, Wii Stand, 5 Sports games ( Boxing, Baseball, Tennis, Golf and bowling), 1 Remote Controller, 1 Nunchuk Controller, 1 Sensor Bar, 1 Wii AC Adapter, 1 Wii AV Cable. That’s a complete package worth a nice chunk of change!
Visitors can also register to bid on the Charter High-Speed® Internet for Life, but they must be in a Charter serviceable area. Bids start at $10, and you can find out more information and Sweepstakes Rules by visiting their site. I can’t decide which prize I’d rather have– a complete Wii system, or free high-speed service for life. Which would you choose? Head over to their website and register for both today!

My dream used to be to design greeting cards for Hallmark. It’s true. That’s probably part of why I decided to go to work there just for fun back in high school.

I just discovered a $10,000 scholarship contest that would have been perfect for me back then. The Gallery Collection is the leading business-to-business mail order publisher of premium quality personalized Christmas, Holiday, and All Occasion greeting cards in the United States. The Scholarship Contest is open to high school and college kids and is called the “Create-A-Greeting Card Scholarship Contest.” Pretty cool, huh? You can submit an entry through January 15, 2008. |
It’s also about the time of year for the company to start thinking about ordering business christmas cards. I remember the days when my dad would get those from all the vendors that he worked with. It was always a nice touch for the companies to do that to thank him for his business that year, and we had a ton of beautiful cards to display. I like the ones from The Gallery Collection, and they are really pretty affordable.

| I am still sad that I do not have my Ford Mustang anymore. It was by far my favorite car. I knew Ford is a great company to work for, but I just found out today that they also sponsor the Ford Blue Oval Scholars scholarship program.
If you are a graphic designer (or know someone that is), they are hosting a logo design contest to create a new logo for the program. They are offering some great prizes: |
 |
1. First Place - Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Premium = Retail $1,700
2. Second Place - $300 for design software of choice
3. Third Place - $150 for design software of choice
4. Fourth Place - $50 Music Download Card
5. Fifth Place - $50 Music Download Card
6. Sixth Place - $50 Music Download Card
7. Seventh Place - $50 Music Download Card
8. Eight Place - $50 Music Download Card
9. Ninth Place - $50 Music Download Card
10. Tenth Place - $50 Music Download Card
Who wouldn’t love $50 worth of free music? The first through third place prizes would be awesome for someone who is really into design. I’ve dabbled in PhotoShop, but I’m not sure I am good enough to win. I think Dave is really talented, so I am going to see if he’d be interested in entering.
If you think you have what it takes to make a logo better than the one above, why not try your hand? Just make sure you include the Ford logo in your entry. Check out the website for all the rules and entry form.

Have you heard of a website called Got Trouble? We all have troubles every once and awhile, and this is a website you can visit to get help and find information on a number of different topics from consumer rights, renting & housing, and loan & credit among others. |
I recently got a traffic ticket, so I was checking out the different violations, fees, and information the site has on that topic. I figured while I’m at it, I should enter GotTrouble.com’s Video Promotion. They are giving away $5000 to a lucky winner. All you have to do is sing your troubles away on camera, upload your video to YouTube, and complete the registration form. I’m still working on a video idea, but here are a few of the lines to my song. It’s a work in progress.

I got myself a ticket, for rolling through a stop sign.
Little did I know, there’d be a cop right behind.
He turned on his lights, and to the side of the road I went.
Man, did that $191 fine give my checking account a dent.
I was in trouble. Really big trouble.
Luckily I knew, of a site that I could go.
It’s called Got Trouble, and that’s all you need to know!

Soliel from Cananda was the winner of the Gap PRODUCT(RED) t-shirt for the first half of Blogathon. There’s good news though, I will be drawing for another t-shirt around 7AM tomorrow morning. The winner will announced at 8AM on La Vie de Laurie via live webcam. Everyone that entered the first time is still in the drawing, and if you’d like to write another post about me I will throw your name in again. In addition, anyone new that wants to enter the contest can do so by following the directions on the contest post. |
Also, I have another t-shirt ready to mail to the person with the highest pledge by the end of Blogathon. You can still sponsor me on my pledge page.
The first three bloggers to sponsor me will also be sent a (PRODUCT)RED prize.

So far there are no entries in my July Contest to help promote my participation in Blogathon. This makes me really sad. Your chances of winning the drawing for this GAP (PRODUCT)RED shirt are pretty good. The contest will end Saturday at 8:00 PM, and I will do the drawing at 9:00 PM central time via live webcam provided there are any entires. Also, if you can sponsor me I would be very grateful. Corrin did, and I really appreciate it. |
